Sue Adlam

I am a Clinical Aromatherapist and Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist, also qualified in various forms of massage for both relaxation and remedial treatments as well as mindfulness and meditation. If you are looking to optimise your health and vitality or reduce stress and gain life balance, I can support you using a wide range of modalities – essential oil and hydrolat therapy, nutrition, herbs, lifestyle, massage and stress management. I generally provide massage as part of a package of wellness for face to face clients as my work is mainly clinically based working long term with clients who are experiencing chronic or long term ill health.

After 3 years of study, I will qualify with a diploma in naturopathic nutrition this Autumn (2021) and complete my clinical aromatherapy upgrade to add further skills to support clients on their wellness journey at the end of 2021.

Although my work is predominantly with women specialising in my particular interest of fatigue, stress and anxiety, burnout and women’s health; I do also have male clients who are referred to me by current clients and others known to me. Life experiences have provided me with plenty of opportunities to work out what is needed to get back onto the road of health and vitality so I can fully empathise with those who are looking to change their lifestyles in order to regain optimum health. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss any current well-being issues that you are having to find out if I can help you.

With all new clients, I provide a free initial enquiry call to ensure that your needs match my skills and experience and to provide me with some background information prior to our appointment.

My Philosophy

I believe that much of what ails us can be remedied by closely examining how we live our lives based on some basic pillars of good health: A healthy lifestyle that focuses on appropriate levels of physical activity, eating real foods and undertaking activities that promote health, quality sleep, effective stress management, avoiding toxic overload, developing healthy relationships, and feeling a sense of purpose and belonging to ensure that you give yourself the best chance to be healthy and full of vitality.

It doesn’t have to be perfect, but if any one of these aspects has fallen by the wayside, your health will begin to suffer. I have discovered that if you are perpetually and chronically stressed, the body cannot return to the restful, healing state known as the parasympathetic state. Our bodies are amazingly good at healing and when fully relaxed, you can return to optimum health provided the other pillars of health are in place.

How to work with me

No matter where you are located, geography is no obstacle, as I work remotely using cloud-based video conferencing services (Zoom) for clinical aromatherapy (Nutritional therapy in Autumn 2021) and you can book a completely free initial assessment.

I also work from a dedicated cosy treatment room at my home and use exclusively organic products wherever available and endeavour to provide the best quality of care possible to nurture you back to health.
