Continuing Professional Development – new Therapy modalities
Naturopathic Nutritional Therapy has taken me 4 years to complete as I needed to take a year out between year 2 and 3. Medical herbalism may be on the cards at some point in the future after taking a foundation course with Heartwood, but I feel a draw to psychology again as within my own healing journey, I’ve realised that the impact of the mind and learned behaviours have a profound impact on the body. Watch this space! There are a number of options that I’ve been exploring: NLP, EFT, and kinesiology – after doing a day’s CPD in May! I’ve also done a Buteyko workshop on Snoring & Sleep Apnea and I’m drawn to doing more training in this area as breathing incorrectly seems to be massively implicated in chronic ill health.
My current studies: Therapeutic Nutrition with the Optimum Health Clinic that specialises in working with clients with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, ME and Fibromyalgia. HeartMath module on Stress, Anxiety & Self-Regulation. Planning to do further training on Flower Essences this year to complete level 2 and making Pessaries for Women’s health conditions. Also considering Level 2 Aromatherapy teacher training…
Recently completed: Level 1 Aromatherapy Teacher Training with the wonderful Jade Shutes, Bridging the Gap Herbal Course with the amazing Gabi Forrester and a deep dive into Women’s Hormonal Health with the incredibly knowledgeable integrative practitioner, Dr Nina Fuller-Shavel. I’ve also just completed level 1 in Flower Essences and will continue studying level 2 and 3 in 2023 to practitioner level.
